Ralph Acampora is director of technical studies at the New York Institute of Finance, also known as the "School of Wall Street." Prior to this, Mr. Acampora headed up technical departments at Knight Capital, Prudential Securities, and Kidder, Peabody & Co., for over 47 years. He is a co-founder of the Market Technicians Association (MTA) and the founder and first chairperson of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA).
